Weekend Plans With Warriors Chief Revenue Officer Brandon Schneider

Schneider, who grew up a Warriors fan, is now in his 17th season with the teamwarriors

Warriors CRO BRANDON SCHNEIDER got into L.A. Thursday afternoon just in time to see his team take a 2-1 series lead over the Clippers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. This is Schneider’s 17th season with the Warriors, so he’s no stranger to the stress of a playoff run. But this season has been a little different, as Schneider and his team have balanced their typical duties with preparing to move into Chase Center next season. What’s it like balancing the excitement in the office with a pending move to a new arena? Schneider: “We’re fortunate to have a great team, and we’ve been celebrating 47 years at Oracle Arena. There’s the laser focus on really going out with a bang this year, while also looking ahead to Chase Center to build the best experience that we can.” Schneider took THE DAILY through his plan for the weekend, who he spends time with during games and how he and his wife make sure their 2-year-old son grows up to love sports.

GAME 3 PREP: The team flew down on Wednesday, while I got to L.A. on Thursday at 1:00pm PT. We had a suite at Staples Center for Thursday night’s game with some of our founding partners for Chase Center, and then also a bunch of current partners. A suite full of folks is always a great opportunity to spend time together on the road.

WEEKEND AGENDA: Staying in L.A. through the weekend. I went to UCLA and graduated in ’01, so it’ll be great to get back on the old stomping grounds. Friday is a typical work day but instead of in-person meetings everything will be on the phone. I may go see some colleagues over at LAFC, but besides that it’ll mostly be taking advantage of the time for the rest of Friday and Saturday. Sunday we’ll have more partners during Game 4 at Staples Center that we’ll entertain. It works out really well with a 12:30pm start time in the afternoon. Afterwards a bunch of us will head over to the LAFC game at 4:00pm at Banc of California.

IN THE MEANTIME: Hobbies, what are those? Because of the job I don’t have a ton of free time. My wife and I live down on the Peninsula about 35 minutes south of San Francisco. We’ve got a two-year old son as well, so the weekends are typically for the family. We like to take him out on the jogger/stroller, get him outside as much as we can. Then we always make sure he’s in front of the TV for any Warriors/LAFC/Giants and 49ers game that’s within his sleep schedule. My wife is pretty good at it, but I’m better. We are just making sure he’s a big sports fan. I grew up a die-hard Giants, Warriors and 49ers fan. Aside from family time, I am known to be found at one of the Omakase restaurants in San Francisco searching for the best sushi in the Bay Area -- a quest that our sushi crew plans to continue for as long as possible!
