Buyers & Sellers: Serena Williams Sells Longtime L.A. Home For $8.1M

SERENA WILLIAMS has sold her L.A. home of "more than a decade" for $8.1M. Set on a "roomy lot of nearly three acres" in Bel-Air, the 1935-built house has "six bedrooms, seven bathrooms" and 6,100 square feet of living space. High ceilings, marble and hardwood floors and a "full-service hair salon are among features of note." Outside features include a "secluded swimming pool, a pool house, gardens and covered patio space" (LATIMES.com, 4/13).

IN THE WINDY CITY: Former Bears coach JOHN FOX sold his home just outside Chicago for a little below $2.88M. The house in Lake Forest, Ill., has "six bedrooms, a beamed living room ceiling, an elevator, and a full second kitchen" (CHICAGOBUSINESS.com, 4/15)....Former NBAer TONI KUKOC placed his Chicago-area home on the market for $1.15M. The six-bedroom, 5,035-square-foot house in Highland Park, Ill., features "six baths, an open foyer, two-story ceilings in the family room and living room, a private den/office on the first floor, four en-suite bedrooms upstairs, a master suite with three walk-in closets and two sinks, a heated three-car garage and a finished basement with a custom wet bar and an exercise room" (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 4/12).

BUYERS & SELLERS: Former NFLer ROB GRONKOWSKI has sold his Boston penthouse for $2.3M. The 2,100-square-foot Boston condo set in a "renovated former industrial building has a centerpiece black steel spiral staircase that leads to a 340-square-foot private rooftop terrace" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 4/15)....Predators G PEKKA RINNE bought a new home in Nashville's West Meade neighborhood for $2.2M. The "custom-built, modern property features Wi-Fi-enabled appliances throughout, hidden speakers, and luxury marble, porcelain, quartz and wood finishes." It has "six bedrooms and four full and two half-bathrooms, with a rooftop deck and rear patio on two acres" (TENNESSEAN.com, 4/17).
