WNBA Las Vegas Aces F A'ja Wilson said that she "wants to use her platform to highlight the disparity in pay between men and women in professional sports," according to Bristow Marchant of the Columbia STATE. Wilson: "I’ll push the envelope. I might say things you don’t agree with." Wilson said that she wants to see WNBAers "receive a similar share of revenue in the league to the earnings their male counterparts get." NBAers have a 50% revenue-sharing agreement with the league compared to 25% for the WNBA. Wilson recently wore a shirt that read "Bet on Women," the slogan of WNBAers who have "opted out of the league’s collective bargaining agreement to protest pay inequity." Wilson: "It goes a lot deeper than just wanting to get money. We just want to equal the percentages out" (Columbia STATE, 4/2).
