Cushman & Wakefield Real Estate Firm Starts Sports Advisory Group

Chicago-based real estate company Cushman & Wakefield is launching a sports and entertainment advisory group in partnership with W Partners, the boutique sports agency run by industry veteran WALLY HAYWARD. The new group will focus on sponsorship, branding/naming-rights consulting, venue programming, food and beverage consulting and a variety of commercial real estate services such as land acquisition, construction management, site selection, retail leasing and finance. Cushman’s Chicago-based Exec Managing Dirs CRAIG CASSELL and MICHAEL SESSA will lead the new group along with W Partners CEO Hayward and VP SEAN WALLIS. “Over the last 18-20 months, we have been more aggressive in the sports sector as we have been going down the path to bring different expertise together,” Sessa said. Hayward said the group is in discussions with potential clients but has not yet signed any agreements. “We have been listening to clients, and some of the challenges that we are hearing led us to make more turnkey solutions,” he said. “We are combining our resources to provide one-stop solutions.”
