Steelers Season-Ticket Holders Will See No Increase In Price This Year

The Steelers generally raise season-ticket prices every other year -- the last occurring before the '18 seasonGETTY IMAGES

Steelers season-ticket holders will "see no increase in the price of their tickets this year," according to Joe Rutter of the PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW. The Steelers "typically raise season-ticket prices every other year," and the last increase occurred for the '18 season. This year, "unless ticket holders opt during the online renewal process to have printed tickets shipped, all season tickets will be mobile only and available on the Steelers mobile app" (TRIBLIVE.com, 3/5).

A LITTLE MORE GREEN: In Green Bay, Richard Ryman in a front-page piece notes the Packers this year used a "demand-based approach" to their season-ticket price increase. Prices went up between $1-6 per game, with the "cost of more than half of Lambeau Field's seats increasing $1 or $2." The cost for Gold Package buyers, with "two regular-season games and one in the preseason, increases $13 for the season, compared to $16 last year." At 3.1%, the average increase is the "smallest in 10 years." This marks the 10th consecutive season "prices increased." Paper tickets still will be "sent to all season-ticket holders in July, and if they sell those seats, they can give the paper tickets to the buyers." Otherwise, all tickets "must be forwarded electronically" (GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE, 3/6).
