Mars Inc. VP/Sponsorships & Sports Marketing William Clements said that the company’s renewed sponsorship deal with Joe Gibbs Racing now expires at the end of ’22, keeping the sides together for another three years beyond the current Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season. Clements also revealed the company will have 30 primary sponsorships on JGR's No. 18 car this season. Kyle Busch, who drives the No. 18 Toyota, also has extended his deal with JGR -- while those terms were not released, teams often try to have driver deals and sponsorship deals expire concurrently. Clements said, "This is a three-decade-long relationship with NASCAR. We were part of it when it was primarily a Southern sport in the 1990s. We were with them when it grew tremendously. And we feel that now NASCAR needs its sponsors. We think they're making the right moves … to put the sport back on the path where we hope it will be.”
