Patrick Mahomes Talks "Call Of Duty," Esports Ownership Potential

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes said he plays "a lot" of "Call of Duty" during the offseason, and on Tuesday he was in L.A. to get a tour of game developer Treyarch's HQ, which has made seven titles in the franchise since '05, according to Arash Markazi of the L.A. TIMES. Mahomes said, "I play a good amount, especially now in the off-season where I get a little more free time." Mahomes said so many athletes enjoy playing the game because of "the competition." He said, "You have to really work to get good at it." Mahomes said that he "wouldn’t be opposed to one day owning a professional 'Call of Duty' team." Mahomes: "I’m definitely open to it. I love the 'Call of Duty' series" (L.A. TIMES, 2/21). YAHOO SPORTS' Jack Baer wrote Mahomes' offseason has been "composed of three main activities: working out, golf and Call of Duty" (SPORTS.YAHOO.com, 2/20).
