Brewers' Successful '18 Season Leads To 10% Increase In Team Sponsors

Sprecher, as part of its new sponsorship deal, will be sold exclusively in the Miller Park seating bowlnicholas griner

The Brewers' increasing popularity is "paying off" via a 10% increase in the team's number of sponsors for this season, according to Rich Kirchen of the MILWAUKEE BUSINESS JOURNAL. The Brewers count 135 sponsors for '19, but team President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger "would not disclose revenue from sponsorships." Schlesinger said that root beer from Glendale, Wis.,-based Sprecher, one of the team's new sponsors, will be "sold exclusively" in the Miller Park seating bowl but "not at concession stands." Other new sponsors include UW Credit Union, whose signage will be "installed at Miller Park," and outboard motor firm Evinrude, which will "display a Brewers-branded motor at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport and sponsor scholarships." Additionally, Cooper Tires will have a sign displayed at the ballpark and will "sponsor a special event." One thing Brewers fans will not see at Miller Park this year are "new sponsored areas like the Johnsonville Party Deck or the Aurora Health Care Bullpen that debuted" in '18. The Brewers "focused their capital spending this year" on a $60M expansion and renovation of their Arizona Spring Training HQ that "will be known as Brewers Fields of Phoenix"  (BIZJOURNALS.com, 2/6).
