Pro Bowl Adds Community Day, Numerous Fan-Friendly Events

The NFL has added to the "week-long series of events leading" up to the Pro Bowl in Orlando, incorporating a "community day" from 10:00am-noon ET Saturday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, according to Stephen Ruiz of the ORLANDO SENTINEL. Pro Bowl players will "participate in several opportunities to give back." NFL Senior VP/Events Peter O'Reilly said the league tried to "learn from the last two years and create a number of new fan activities and family-friendly activities." The Pro Bowl Skills Showdown "now has a companion event" in the Play Football Skills Showdown, which will "involve 50 high school players from across the U.S." and take place Friday afternoon. On the day of the Pro Bowl, fans can "watch as players walk the red carpet" from noon-1:00pm as they "arrive at Camping World Stadium." Three judges will then "select the best dressed player." Pro Bowl practices are free to attend, but fans "must register for a fan mobile pass." The Pro Bowl Experience, a "collection of more than 10 interactive opportunities," is also free (ORLANDOSENTINEL.com, 1/21).
