Dog Days: Oscar Mayer Renews With Roush Fenway Racing For '19
Oscar Mayer has renewed with Roush Fenway Racing and will be the primary partner on Ryan Newman's No. 6 Ford for multiple races in '19, starting with the Daytona 500. Financial terms were not revealed for the renewal. The Kraft Heinz brand returned to the sport last year for one race with Roush in the Southern 500 at Darlington, but has now re-upped for another year and will transition with the team from Matt Kenseth to Newman. The brand this morning released a new spot from mcgarrybowen, N.Y., celebrating the renewal and a new paint scheme. Oscar Mayer will center the sponsorship on its bacon, hot dogs and cold cut products, and the brand is planning to focus on one of those specific items with each sponsorship. The Daytona 500 paint scheme, for example, has dozens of hot dogs plastered all over the car. Other sponsors on the No. 6 include Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. The team has also landed a new, yet-to-be-revealed tech brand that will be on the car this season.
