Warriors Lead U.S. Teams In Social Media Engagement Value In '18

The Warriors lead all pro U.S. teams this past year in terms of social media engagement value, while NBA teams overall took eight of the top 15 spots, according to data from measurement firm MVPindex. The Warriors had over 13,000 posts across their social platforms, leading to over 282 million engagements for an estimated value of $512.9M. Ranking No. 2 were the Cavaliers with a value of $365.1M, followed by the Lakers at $294.2M. The Dodgers had the highest number of posts of any team across social media (over 33,000), and that led a No. 4 ranking with $269.1M. Rounding out the top five were the Celtics at $180.5M.
