The mother of ZEKE UPSHAW, the NBA G League Grand Rapids Drive player who died after collapsing during a game in March, last week "refiled a wrongful death lawsuit with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan." The response by the Drive medical staff "forms the basis" of the suit filed against DeltaPlex Arena, team investors SSJ Group, the Pistons and the NBA. The original suit was "filed in May at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York but was withdrawn" (DETROIT FREE PRESS, 10/31).

FLEUR-DE-LEAVE MY COURT: A Saints ticket holder who "claimed emotional distress over the 'unwanted speech' that came in the form of player protests during the national anthem at a Sept. 17, 2017 game had his case dismissed by a state appeals court."
