T-Mobile will "double its contributions as part of its Home Runs for Hurricane Recovery (#HR4HR) initiative" during the World Series, with the company donating "$10,000 for every home run hit during the Fall Classic ... to support hurricane recovery efforts spearheaded by military veteran-led Team Rubicon," according to David Cohen of ADWEEK. T-Mobile also will donate $2 "for every tweet or Instagram post containing the #HR4HR hashtag." Former Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully narrates a new ad "detailing the impact Team Rubicon and T-Mobile have made in areas that were hard-hit by recent hurricanes" (ADWEEK.com, 10/23). In L.A., Tom Hoffarth notes Scully's "voice-over work on the T-Mobile ads in which he narrates a family reunion "drew plenty of social media attention" last night. The company's ads were "previously voiced by poet Maya Angelou" (L.A. TIMES, 10/24).
