Zlatan Tops List Of Best-Selling MLS Jerseys For '18 Season

Galaxy F Zlatan Ibrahimovic has had MLS' top-selling jersey on the league site during the '18 season, his first in the league. LAFC F Carlos Vela, who also debuted in MLS this season, had the second-highest selling jersey. Atlanta United had the most players in the top 25 with five, led by F Josef Martinez at No. 3. The 25 players represent 14 different countries, including five from the U.S. (Ian Thomas, THE DAILY).

AMERICAN LEAGUE: PRO SOCCER USA's Julian Cardillo noted seven of the top 25 "have also played" for the USMNT. Dempsey, who has "retired from competition, is still the top-selling jersey among American players in the league" (PROSOCCERUSA.com, 10/22). Other American players in the top 25 include Nagbe, Altidore, Dwyer, Zusi, Roldan and Arriola (SI.com, 10/22). Zusi "accomplished a unique feat," as his jersey is the "only one to crack the top 25 for the last five consecutive seasons" (ESPN.com, 10/22).
