Ravens Become Second NFL Team To Bring On Casino Partner

Horseshoe will hold special promotional events like the Purple Passion ticket giveawayHORSESHOE CASINO

Horseshoe Casino Baltimore has signed a "multi-year marketing deal" with the Ravens that will "allow the casino to use team trademarks and logos and is expected help it take advantage of its proximity to M&T Bank Stadium," according to Lorraine Mirabella of the BALTIMORE SUN. It marks the "second-ever partnership between an NFL team and a casino," following the Cowboys' deal with WinStar World Casino last month. Horseshoe also becomes the "official casino of the team" and will "become a sponsor of the Ravens' 'Legendary Moments and Plays,' shown during games on the new stadium video boards." Ravens Senior VP/Corporate Sales & Business Development Kevin Rochlitz said that the team is "exploring similar sponsorships with other casinos." Meanwhile, Horseshoe "plans to re-brand its three-level feature bar as a Ravens-themed bar" (BALTIMORE SUN, 10/20). In Baltimore, Amanda Yeager noted the partnership will also mean "exclusive giveaways for members of the casino's Total Rewards program, such as trips on the Ravens' team plane, as well as in-game promotions at M&T Bank Stadium." The news "comes as a revitalization of the area between the stadium and casino, dubbed the Warner Street entertainment district, continues" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 10/19).
