Audience Analysis: ESPN's "Sunday NFL Countdown" Up Over '17

The NFL is not only seeing ratings increases for game windows this season, as ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown” is also up 12% over last year through Week 6. The show is averaging 1.294 million viewers to date. The Week 6 show averaged 1.398 million viewers, up 18% over the comparable “Countdown” show in ’17. It also was the second-most-viewed show of the season, trailing only Week 1. Meanwhile, ESPN2’s “Fantasy Football Now” is also averaging 357,000 viewers through Week 6, up 3% over ’17. The two shows are the only NFL pregame shows that are up in viewership year-over-year. Meanwhile, Fox on Sunday posted season-high numbers for its two pregame shows, with "Fox NFL Sunday" (4.861 million viewers) and "Fox NFL Kickoff" (1.376 million) both up over '17. CBS in Week 6 also saw an increase for "The NFL Today." Sunday's show drew 3.270 million viewers, up from 3.066 million last year.
