David Newman Leaving Mets As Front Office Shakeup Continues

Mets Senior VP/Marketing & Communications DAVID NEWMAN will leave the club Oct. 2 after a 13-year run. In the immediate term, Newman intends to consult with several sports and entertainment entities on marketing, communications, content and event platforms, and following his full-time departure from the Mets, will consult with the team through the end of the year. Newman’s impending departure continues a period of transition for the Mets’ communications staff following last week’s announced shift of longtime club employee JAY HORWITZ to the newly created role of VP/Alumni PR & Team Historian.
