Miach Orthopaedics, founded by DR. MARTHA MURRAY, recently raised $22.5M to "continue developing its new treatment" for ACL injuries. The new procedure, "called Bridge-Enhanced ACL Repair, or BEAR, uses a bioengineered sponge as a bridging scaffold to stimulate healing of the torn ACL." Miach said that the device has been "successfully tested on nearly 100 patients" at Boston Children’s Hospital. The latest fundraising round was "led by" Boca Raton-based Amzak Health Investors and Holland-based DSM Venturing, with the NFLPA among the investors. The company "declined to say how much the players’ union contributed" (BOSTON GLOBE, 9/18).

GREEK FESTIVAL: Bucks F GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO, F KHRIS MIDDLETON and G MATTHEW DELLAVEDOVA attended Vikings-Packers on Sunday. It was Antetokounmpo's "first time" at a Packers game. He said, "The atmosphere was great. I didn't know there was 80,000 people that could show up on a Sunday to watch football like that." He added, "I talked with AARON RODGERS before the game. Then I enjoyed the game, I ate some hot dogs and it was fun" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 9/18).
