MLB Average Attendance Still Pacing To Be Under 30,000 For Season

With less than a month left to play in the ’18 regular season, average attendance for MLB clubs is down over 4% and on pace to finish under an average of 30,000 for the first time since '03 (28,013). The Dodgers are leading all teams for a sixth consecutive season, up 2% in attendance at Chavez Ravine. The AL West-leading Astros have the biggest gains this season, up 23.6% from the same period last season, while the Brewers and Phillies have also seen double-digit increases at the gate. In Miami, the Marlins have a league-low average of 10,014 per game and are down over 50% from last season. The Royals, Blue Jays, Pirates, Tigers and Orioles are also experiencing significant drops this season.
