Nadal Leads Tennis Players On Social Media; Serena Top American

Serena Williams has more than 9 million followers on Instagram -- more than any other tennis player in the world by a large margin -- but she still ranks only fifth in terms of total followers on social media, according to HookIt data. Rafael Nadal leads 35.6 million social media followers across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, followed by Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova. Williams is the most popular American player, as only two players from the U.S. crack the top 25. The list includes several recent retirees from the pro circuits (THE DAILY).
