Intel Extreme Masters Tour Heading To Chicago For Three Years
Esports tournament organizer ESL and title sponsor Intel have struck a three-year deal to bring the Intel Extreme Masters esports tour to Chicago. IEM Chicago will run Nov. 6-9 at Wintrust Arena, and will then move to United Center in ’19 and ’20. Chicago will be the first midwestern host of the event and the fifth time the IEM tour has come to the U.S., following two years in San Jose and then two years in Oakland. The $250,000 prize pool tournament will consist of 16 teams competing in “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.”
