Bills Creating Training Camp Video Series To Air On Facebook Watch

The Bills "plan to put their own spin on shows like HBO's 'Hard Knocks' and Amazon's 'All or Nothing'" with a "four episode video series called 'Embedded'" that will air on Facebook Watch, according to Ryan Talbot of the NEWYORKUPSTATE.com. "Embedded," will "give fans a behind-the-scenes look at their favorite team as well as a look at what some Bills players do off-the-field during camp." Pegula Sports & Entertainment Exec VP/Media & Content Mark Preisler said that the series "will take fans from the first day of training camp practice all the way through final cuts" as the team prepares for the regular season. The four episodes will air Wednesdays at 8:00pm ET beginning Aug. 15. The team will also "air the episodes on BuffaloBills.com, the Buffalo Bills app and the Bills' YouTube page 24 hours after it airs on Facebook Watch" (NEWYORKUPSTATE.com, 8/2).

WHOSE STAR WILL SHINE? THE ATHLETIC's Richard Deitsch noted there are 32 NFL Films staffers "embedded at the Browns’ training camp in Berea, Ohio," for this season's "Hard Knocks," which premieres on Tuesday. That staff "will procure roughly 1,750 hours of footage over the 46 days working on the series." Viewers will likely "see a lot" of WR Jarvis Landry, coach Hue Jackson, DE Myles Garrett and QB Baker Mayfield, but "not so much ownership." NFL Films Coordinating Producer Ken Rodgers said that Browns Owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam have "not been very visible in football operations so don’t expect a big presence of them -- at least in early episodes" (THEATHLETIC.com, 8/2).
