Dolphins' Matt Higgins Among Celebs To Appear On "Shark Tank"

Higgins said this country is about endless possibilities and there is no room to be a victimLORI GREINER

Dolphins Vice Chair MATT HIGGINS will "appear in upcoming episodes" of ABC's "SHARK TANK" along with other guest judges such as ALEX RODRIGUEZ, BETHENNY FRANKEL and CHARLES BARKLEY, according to Joe Schad of the PALM BEACH POST. Higgins said, "It was an amazing experience. It was competitive. It was aggressive. There were some great deals and I’m excited to see what comes of it." In his role as RSE Ventures co-Founder & CEO, Higgins "deals daily with young entrepreneurs and businesses." He said, "My day job is building businesses." Higgins: "I literally came from nothing. I was 16 years old, living in a shoe box apartment in Queens, taking care of my sick mother. I had government cheese in the refrigerator. As poor as you can get. So I think this country is about endless possibilities. You have no excuses not to try to make the most of your life. And there is no room to be a victim. And I think the show shows that every week" (PALM BEACH POST, 8/2). In Miami, Adam Beasley notes Higgins has a story that is "made for TV." He is a "true rags-to-riches success, escaping poverty in Queens to become a huge success in the worlds of business, sports and politics." The show has "already taped his appearances," but it is "unclear when he will appear" (MIAMI HERALD, 8/2).
