Audience Analysis: WNBA Seeing Best Viewership Since '15 Season

The WNBA heading into its All-Star Game on Saturday is seeing its most-watched season since ’15, drawing an average 114,000 viewers combined across ESPN2 and NBA TV, up 33% from 86,000 last year. On an individual game basis, ESPN2 had its most-watched regular season contest since ’15 for the June 28 Seattle Storm-L.A. Sparks matchup, which drew 382,000 viewers. NBA TV also had its most-watched game since ’15 on June 17, when Phoenix Mercury-Las Vegas Aces drew 138,000 viewers.

INTO THE WOODS: The Open Championship at Carnoustie ended up being the most-streamed golf event ever for NBC Sports’ digital platforms, aided no doubt by Tiger Woods' return to the leaderboard. Across four days of coverage, the average minute audience was 90,600, up 53% from last year’s tourney.
