Bald Is Beautiful: Licht Shaves Head As Bucs Exceed Fundraiser Goal

Licht was encouraged by his children to participate in this year's campaign by shaving his headBUCCANEERS

Buccaneers GM JASON LICHT followed through with his pledge to "get his head shaved" after the team raised $130,000 as part of its "Cut for a Cure" fundraiser, according to Greg Auman of the TAMPA BAY TIMES. Bucs players, staff and a "newly-shorn Licht proudly held up an oversized check for $123,000." Bucs DT GERALD MCCOY then "took the microphone and promptly raised the total to an even $130,000." A "steady parade of Bucs players took turns getting a full shave or red dyed into their hair," including McCoy, QB JAMEIS WINSTON, LB LAVONTE DAVID, LT DONOVAN SMITH, G ALI MARPET and TE O.J. HOWARD. Bucs COO BRIAN FORD "got his head shaved," as did VP/Ticket Sales DENO ANAGNOST, a cancer survivor. Bucs Producer KIRSTEN PHILLIPS, who "convinced players to raise an extra $35,000 last year by shaving her head, was back for a red coloring" (TAMPA BAY TIMES, 6/4).
