Jaguars Begin Replacing EverBank Signage At TIAA Bank Field

The transition of the Jaguars' EverBank Field to TIAA Bank Field "took a significant step forward" yesterday when new signs "began going up on the outside of the stadium," according to Charlie Patton of the FLORIDA TIMES-UNION. TIAA last year acquired EverBank Financial Corp. The letters spelling out TIAA Bank Field that are being "installed on the east and west sides of the stadium are 12 feet high," while the letters on the "north and the south ends of the stadium are 10 feet high." Also on the east and west sides of the stadium, where the "entrances to the club seats are located, there will be panels made of rubber encased between sheets of metal." Jacksonville-based Harbinger Sign has also "created TIAA logos that will be attached to the stadium walls." Like the letters, the logos are "filled with LED lighting." Harbinger VP/Operations Mike Lev said that his understanding is that the logos and letters "will be illuminated around the clock," adding that he "expects the illuminated signage to last for at least a decade" (FLORIDA TIMES-UNION, 5/10).
