Overnight Ratings: PGA Tour, NASCAR Lead All Non-NBA Telecasts

Among non-NBA sports telecasts over the weekend, the PGA Tour and NASCAR led the way. The Valero Texas Open yesterday drew a 1.7 overnight rating on CBS up against the NBA and NHL Playoffs. That telecast, which saw Andrew Landry win the event, was the Valero Open’s best final round figure since ’14. Meanwhile, the Monster Energy Cup Series race from Richmond on Saturday night also drew a 1.7 overnight up against NHL and NBA action. The spring Richmond race last year aired on a Sunday afternoon.

The chart below lists overnight ratings from weekend sports telecasts on broadcast TV.
