Rickie Fowler Teaming With NBC For Oklahoma State Golf Documentary

Golfer Rickie Fowler is "teaming up with NBC Sports Group to create a four-part documentary called 'Driven: Oklahoma State Cowboys,'" which provides an "all-access, behind-the-scenes look" into the school's top-ranked men’s golf team," according to Steve DiMeglio of USA TODAY. The show will be like "'Hard Knocks' with golf clubs." NBC Sports will "showcase 'Driven' across its networks: the first three episodes will be shown on Golf Channel on May 7, 14 and 21." The one-hour finale on NBC June 16, set to air opposite Fox' third-round coverage of the U.S. Open, will "recap Oklahoma State’s run at an 11th national title." Fowler was a two-time All-American at OSU (USA TODAY, 4/11). GOLFWEEK's Brentley Romine notes the series "will be executive produced by Main Event Productions," which Fowler created last year. It will be written by Ollie Stokes, who "wrote and produced Showtime's Emmy-nominated All Access: Mayweather vs. McGregor" (GOLFWEEK.com, 4/11).
