In Toronto, Wallace & Henry note a personal injury law firm that billed itself as the "official" injury lawyers of the Blue Jays is "changing the way it advertises after Ontario’s legal regulator reminded the firm it never worked for the team." According to a summary of a meeting between the Law Society of Ontario and Preszler Law Firm Managing Partner David Preszler, the firm has "removed the claim that it was the 'Official Personal Injury Firm'" of the team. Preszler said that his firm continues to be "proud sponsors" of the Blue Jays but is no "longer allowed to call itself the 'official personal injury law firm' of the team" (TORONTO STAR, 4/6).

COMBINING FORCES: Pacers G Victor Oladipo has "teamed up" with Mayor Joe Hogsett for a PSA. In the "It’s My City" PSA, the two have "joined forces to inspire residents to help create a cleaner, greener city." The two proclaim “this is our city,” and call on residents to "get involved in shaping a more beautiful Indianapolis" (IBJ.com, 4/5).

CHANGE UP: The A's for many years had the "best television ads in the game, with award-winning Hub Strategy crafting clever spots that capitalized on the team’s many quirky personalities." But this season the A’s have "moved their advertising in-house, and the TV spots are no more, but Hub is celebrating its long relationship with the club with a highlight reel that includes snippets from several of the 70-plus ads the company produced" (S.F. CHRONICLE, 4/6).

GET YOUR KICKS: Pacers F Trevor Booker "showed off a pair of Nikes decorated by sneaker designer Kickstradomis" that portray Basketball HOFer Reggie Miller's "choke sign" he gave the Knicks during the playoffs in the '90s (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 4/6)....Rockets G James Harden and Adidas are "dropping two new colorways" for his signature shoe, the Harden Vol. 2. The first, called Step Back, "pays homage to the Rockets' old school navy blue jerseys." The second, called Lift Off, features a "black upper with red and silver accents, to represent Harden's 'ultimate mission to land a championship in Houston'" (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 4/5).
