In Cleveland, Joey Morona notes a Heineken ad has been unearthed that Cavaliers G Jordan Clarkson "did in the Philippines." Clarkson is half Filipino, and in the ad is "referred to as 'Jordan Clarkson, Basketball Superstar' and boasts that Heineken is 'world famous. Just like us Filipinos.'" But three women in the video who approach Clarkson are "less than impressed." They "don't quite know his name and mistake him for a singer" (Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 3/21).

CINDERELLA STORY: In Baltimore, Holden Wilen notes UMBC is "expected to rake in a slew of premium corporate sponsorship offers" after its historic NCAA Tournament win. UMBC VP/Institutional Advancement Gregory Simmons said the school has been "getting loads of calls from both current and potential corporate partners ever since" the win over Virginia. Simmons said, "Last week the word I used was acceleration. Now it is acceleration cubed" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 3/21).

START YOUR ENGINES: NBCSPORTS.com's Jerry Bonkowski noted IndyCar driver Pippa Mann "plans to drive in her seventh Indianapolis 500 on May 27" and will "once again return to race for Dale Coyne Racing, with new sponsorship by Donate Life Indiana." Mann had "previously been sponsored the last four years in the 500 by the Susan G. Komen organization." She said that she will "continue to carry logos of that organization on the front wing of her car." Mann’s No. 63 Honda will "feature a silvery blue and light green paint scheme wrapped around a Donate Life Indiana logo" (NBCSPORTS.com, 3/20).
