Ex-Packer Nelson Could Continue Green Bay Promotional Efforts
Raiders WR Jordy Nelson is "in talks to continue his relationship" with Green Bay-based Bellin Health despite being released by the Packers last week, according to Richard Ryman of the GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE. Bellin Chief Market Development Officer Tom Arndt said, "It is a very unique situation. We are not purging Jordy automatically. Jordy represents something really positive." Nelson also had a promotional partnership with Green Bay-based Associated Bank. He signed two-year deals with both entities in '15, and the bank has ended its relationship with him. Associated's deal with Nelson "included fan- and customer-engagement activities, marketing projects and community initiatives." It said, "Associated wishes Jordy the best in his future endeavors." But Ryman notes Bellin has had a "long-running partnership with Nelson and for its most recent deal, it paired him with actor Patrick Fabian" to convince men to "get prostate exams." Nelson could "still be seen in television advertisements for Bellin over the weekend" (GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE, 3/21).
