New FAU AD Brian White Among Highest Paid In Conference USA

New FAU AD Brian White will "not only make more money than his predecessor, his base salary will also be in the upper third" among Conference USA ADs, according to Chuck King of FAUOWLACCESS.com. According to his contract, FAU will "pay White $300,000 per year over the five year deal." Records show former FAU AD Pat Chun, who left in January for the same position at Washington State, "only made $265,000" in '17. Chun was "not operating under a contract." A '16-17 survey conducted by K.C.-based law firm Spencer-Fane showed three C-USA ADs have a "higher base salary than White," led by FIU AD Pete Garcia at $424,000. Univ. of North Texas AD Wren Baker makes $375,000, while Southern Miss AD Jon Gilbert makes $350,000. White's contract also "includes bonuses for fundraising, overall athletic performance and the academic performance of the athletic department students but it does not provide specific dollar amount or percentages" (FAUOWLACCESS.com, 3/17). New UNC Charlotte AD Mike Hill is making $400,000 annually through '23 (THE DAILY).
