Audience Analysis: UNC-Duke Tops College Hoops, But Down From '17

ESPN averaged 3.4 million viewers for Duke’s win over North Carolina on March 4, marking the most-viewed college hoops game of the regular season on cable or broadcast TV. However, that figure is down 17% from the same second matchup of the season in ’17 (4.1 million viewers). The second Duke-UNC matchup in '16 averaged 3.2 million viewers, but that matchup started at 6:30pm ET vs. 8:00pm.

EVERYBODY WINS: MLB Network and YES Network have already set Spring Training viewership records with Yankees games in '18, and SNY also got in on the action this week. The RSN on Wednesday drew a 2.05 local rating in N.Y. for Mets-Yankees, marking the best Spring Training figure for any RSN in the N.Y. market since '09. It also was the best Spring Training audience ever on SNY.
