Names In The News

Warriors President of Basketball Operations BOB MYERS last night spoke at the WSJ CIO Network annual meeting in S.F., noting to sustain success over the long term, "you need to find people who have a depth of desire." Another tip for staying successful is to "try letting the players coach themselves, like the Warriors did" in a game against the Suns in February. Letting the Warriors coach themselves was "similar to parents asking their kids to cook dinner." Myers said it "empowers the team to take responsibility" even if they mess up. The Warriors won that game 129-83 (WSJ.com, 3/6).
