Audience Analysis: UFC Cards Seeing Lower Viewership On Fox In '18

Fox has now had two UFC cards on the broadcast network this year to date, and the audiences for both rank in the bottom four among the 28 UFC telecasts Fox has aired since late '11. Last Saturday's card averaged 2.04 million viewers for a telecast headlined by Jeremy Stephens defeating Josh Emmett. That is the fourth-lowest UFC on Fox card to date. UFC on Fox 27 on Jan. 27 is still the least-viewed telecast. Fox' top UFC card remains its initial broadcast of Junior dos Santos-Cain Velasquez on Nov. 12, 2011, with 5.68 million viewers.

BRONX BONANZA: MLB Network averaged 313,000 viewers for Yankees-Phillies last Sunday, marking the net's best Spring Training game audience on record. Meanwhile, YES Network averaged 120,000 viewers in the N.Y. market for Tigers-Yankees last Friday, marking the RSN's most-viewed weekday afternoon Spring Training game on record.

NOTE: ESPN had seven NBA games air head-to-head against the Pyeongchang Games this year, but those games saw a 5% increase in viewership compared to the same windows last year.

The chart below lists final audience figures from select recent sports telecasts.
