NBA Average Attendance Figure On Pace For Another Record

Entering the NBA All-Star break, the league’s average attendance is on pace for another record, trending slightly ahead of last season at the same point. The Bulls are leading all teams for a ninth consecutive season with an average of 20,625 fans, but down 4.6% to date. The team also saw its 315-game sellout streak come to an end in November. The Nuggets are seeing the biggest gains at the gate (+20%) and are one of five teams -- the 76ers, T'Wolves, Pistons and Wizards -- experiencing double-digit percentage growth increases. The Pistons are seeing an 11.7% gain with the move from Auburn Hills to Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit. The Mavericks have now sold out 733 straight games (regular season and playoffs) at American Airlines Center dating back to the '01-02 season. The Clippers and Hawks have seen the league’s biggest drops in attendance.
