Buyers & Sellers: NFL Coaches Caldwell, Vrabel List Pricey Homes

Former Lions coach JIM CALDWELL has listed his Franklin, Mich., mansion for $2.5M. The 11,700-square-foot home, built in '12, features "six bedrooms, five full bathrooms, a basketball court ... and an impressive bar area, the backsplash currently lined with a number of footballs." The home also has a "chef's kitchen, his and hers offices, a four-car heated garage" and an outdoor patio (DETROITNEWS.com, 2/14)....Titans coach MIKE VRABEL has listed his Bellaire, Texas, home for $1.99M. The nearly 6,000-square-foot home "sits on a 9,100-square-foot lot." It has "four bedrooms, along with four full- and two half-bathrooms." On the first floor, there is a "grand hall entry, wine room, mudroom, great room, formal dining room, gourmet kitchen and a library that has a secret room." The second floor has a "game room and a media room" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 2/13).

HOOP DREAMS: Lakers G LONZO BALL has bought a condominium at the Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. Live -- the "luxury high-rise that sits adjacent" to Staples Center -- for $1.625M. The unit features "two bedrooms, three bathrooms and nearly 1,700 square feet of living space" (LATIMES.com, 2/15)....Warriors G STEPHEN CURRY has listed his home in Waxhaw, N.C., for $1.55M. The 7,650-square-foot, two-story brick home has "four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and three half bathrooms in addition to a home theater, wine cellar, 'man cave' and exercise room" and sits on a "half-acre lot" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 2/12)....Kings G IMAN SHUMPERT has bought a house in River Forest, Ill., for $880,000. Shumpert bought the "five-bedroom, 4,486-square-foot French Normandy-style house" for his parents. The three-story home, built in '41, has "5½ baths, four fireplaces, a turreted entrance, custom blinds, a lower level rec room" and a "second floor with an office" (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 2/12)....Former NBAer STEVE BLAKE has listed his home in Portland, Ore., for $1.699M. That price is "about $85,000 more" than what Blake paid for the home in '07. The three-story home has "nearly 6,000 square feet of living space." A finished basement "lies on the lower level and holds a guest suite with a separate kitchen." In all, there are "five bedrooms and six bathrooms" (LATIMES.com, 2/15).

BUYERS & SELLERS: Bears QB MITCHELL TRUBISKY has bought a home in Gurnee, Ill., for $950,000. The "six-bedroom, 5,577-square-foot traditional-style brick and cedar house" was once owned by former NFLer MUHSIN MUHAMMAD. The home, built in '05, has "6½ baths, two fireplaces, a grand foyer, a two-story family room with a wall of windows, a first-floor den, a second floor with three en suite bedrooms, and a finished walk-out basement that includes a rec room with a wet bar and stone fireplace as well as an exercise room" (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 2/13)....Canucks C BO HORVAT has listed his home in the Yaletown neighborhood of Vancouver for $1.898M. The "two-bedroom, three-bath" townhouse has 1,354 square feet of space (THEPROVINCE.com, 2/11).
