Franchise Notes

In L.A., Gary Klein noted Rams Exec VP/Football Operations & COO Kevin Demoff on Wednesday in a letter to season-ticket holders announced that prices "would remain 'flat'" for the '18 season at L.A. Memorial Coliseum. The team "will play at the Coliseum" in '18 and '19. Ticket prices are then "expected to increase dramatically when the Rams move into a new Inglewood stadium" in '20 (L.A. TIMES, 2/15).

ASK ME ANYTHING: In Houston, Jack Witthaus reported the Texans are "planning to offer an artificial intelligence service for fans next season to answer questions from concessions to parking." The team partnered with N.Y.-based Satisfi Labs to "roll out the AI platform on its app and website free for fans." The Texans are the "first professional team in Houston to sign on with Satisfi." A fan can ask a question to the Satisfi chatbot, and the bot "responds in real time." Thousands of inquires "can be fielded at once" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 2/15).

BACK IN BLUE: In Philadelphia, Matt Breen reported the Phillies will "turn back the clock at select Thursday home games this season when they wear their throwback powder-blue uniforms." The uniforms were the team's road jerseys throughout the '70s and '80s. They have been "worn sporadically since, including last July in Milwaukee" (PHILLY.com, 2/13).
