Barkley is the first draft-eligible prospect to announce an endorsement deal ahead of the Draft

NFL Draft prospect Saquon Barkley on Friday "signed a shoes and apparel deal with Nike," according to Mark Wogenrich of the Allentown MORNING CALL. Terms of the deal "were not announced." Roc Nation's Kim Miale, Barkley's agent, said that further endorsement deals "would be announced soon" (Allentown MORNING CALL, 2/10). Barkley is the "first draft-eligible prospect to announce an endorsement deal" ahead of the Draft (PENNLIVE.com, 2/9). Barkley "was appreciative on social media, posting a video to Instagram and Twitter thanking Nike" (CENTRE DAILY TIMES, 2/10).

“NBA 2K18” ended last year as the top-selling sports video game title in the U.S. and No. 2 selling video game overall, according to data from the NPD Group. “NBA 2K18,” featuring Celtics G Kyrie Irving on the primary cover and Shaquille O’Neal on the cover for special editions of the game, has sold about 9 million units, representing the best-selling edition in franchise history. “Madden NFL 18” ranked as the fourth-best game in terms of sales for the year. Overall, $14.6B was spent on video game hardware, software and accessories during ’17, representing an 11% increase from the prior year.
