The USGA at its annual meeting on Saturday named MARK NEWELL its 65th President, succeeding DIANA MURPHY. Newell was "elected to a one-year term." Other new members of the USGA Executive Committee are NICK PRICE, KENDRA GRAHAM, SHARON RITCHEY and PAUL BROWN. PAM MURRAY also was appointed USGA Women's Committee Chair, while COURTNEY MYHRUM will be Vice Chair (GOLFCHANNEL.com, 2/3)....The A's promoted SCOTT BRINKMAN, ERIC DAVIS and CHRISTIAN SUAREZ to Account Execs for Fan Development (THE DAILY)....The Double-A Texas League Frisco RoughRiders named Single-A South Atlantic League Lakewood BlueClaws CFO BERNADETTE MILLER to the same position. The club also named Single-A California League Lake Elsinore Storm Assistant GM TIM ARSENEAU VP/Ballpark Operations. The following were promoted by the RoughRiders: MATT RATLIFF to VP/Marketing & Communications; REGINA LYN PIERCE to Assistant VP/Entertainment; KATHRYNE BUCKLEY to Assistant VP/Partner & Event Services; and DAVID KOSYDAR to Dir of Partner Services (RoughRiders)....UMass named Holy Cross Associate AD/Facilities, Operations & Events KIRSTEN BRITTON Senior Associate AD/Sport Administration and Senior Woman Administrator, effective Feb. 20 (UMass).
