As of now there is no suitable venue in San Diego for the team to play a preseason gameGETTY IMAGES

The Spanos family, which owns the Chargers, said that the team's first season in L.A. was a "business-and-football success," but added the club "must improve at connecting" with fans back in the San Diego market, according to Tom Krasovic of the SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE. Chargers President of Business Operations A.G. Spanos said, "We’ve got to do a better job as an organization to make them feel welcome." Spanos made the comments alongside his brother, Chargers President of Football Operations John Spanos, on San Diego's KLSD-AM. The interview was "believed to be the first between the Spanos family and a San Diego radio station" since the team's relocation. When asked how the team will go about making San Diegans feel more welcomed, A.G. Spanos said, "We’re still working through that. Listen to them, respond. Continue to do the things that made us successful in the first place, right? Being good community partners, play great football.” As for the team possibly playing an exhibition game in San Diego, A.G. Spanos said that there is "no suitable venue" (SANDIEGOUNIONTRIBUNE.com, 2/2).
