Lauderdale, Ira Winderman notes no sooner did the Heat "unveil the colorway to the Vice uniforms" then G Wayne Ellington "recognized the possibilities of Carolina Blue sneakers." NBA players are "allowed to wear shoes in any of the team's colors." UNC provided sneakers "fully adorned with the school logo, an enduring reminder" of Ellington being part of the '09 NCAA championship team (South Florida SUN SENTINEL, 1/31).

He will "continue to wear Nike apparel and footwear." Finau played a Ping driver last season "without having an endorsement deal in place with the company" (GOLFWEEK.com, 1/30).
