Rahal Letterman Signs New Deal With Total Specialties

Verizon IndyCar Series team Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing has a new multiyear partnership with Total Specialties USA that will see Total’s Quartz lubricant brand become primary sponsor of Graham Rahal’s No. 15 Honda for one race annually and the official lubricant of the team. Total Specialties is the U.S. subsidiary of French oil giant Total S.A., giving the team a new global partner. Financial terms were not disclosed for the deal, which reunites RLLR with Total after it served as an associate sponsor of the team in its inaugural season in ’92. Total Quartz will serve as the primary sponsor at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach in April, marking the company’s first time as a primary sponsor in IndyCar. RLLR will be a two-car team this season -- the other Honda will filled by last year’s Indy 500 winner Takuma Sato, who comes over from Andretti Autosport.
