The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association is working with California-based VR outfit Strivr on a series of training efforts, particularly in preparation for the upcoming Pyeongchang Games. The alignment adds to series of pro and college sports relationships Strivr currently holds. The NGB has been among the more aggressive entities in exploring new training technologies, as it also has worked with S.F.-based neuropriming company Halo Neuroscience. “The athletes are using the 360-degree video and VR in multiple ways in competition, from inspections of the race course, helping athletes learn the lines they will race through, to helping athletes rehabilitate from injuries,” said USSA High Performance Dir Troy Taylor.
