Breaking The Ice: CSEP Signs Olympic Speedskater Erin Jackson For Represenation

Chicago Sports & Entertainment Partners has signed Olympic speedskater Erin Jackson for representation. The 25-year-old qualified for the U.S. Olympic team despite having only switching from inline roller skating to ice four months earlier. She is the first African-American woman ever to make the long-track team. Jackson is a longshot to medal in Pyeongchang, but speedskating insiders have been stunned by her rapid time improvements. “From marketing perspective, it’s a fabulous story right now,” said CESP partner Patrick Quinn. “If she wins a medal now, great. Awesome. But I’m really looking at this long-term. I think she should be a very interesting brand build, not just in speedskating, but in the Winter Olympics. She could be a female Shani Davis, with a long, successful career.”
