Buyers & Sellers: Rory McIlroy Lists His Palm Beach Gardens Mansion For $12.9M

RORY MCILROY is selling his mansion in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., for $12.9M. McIlroy is "moving just five minutes away to the exclusive Bear's Club," where he has bought the former home of ERNIE ELS. In '13, McIlroy purchased the Palm Beach Gardens home for $9.5M. It has more than 10,000 square feet of living space and includes an "adjacent empty lot that the golfer also purchased." The house was built in '10 and has "six bedrooms, nine bathrooms" and a "synthetic putting green by the pool" (GOLFWEEK.com, 1/5).

FIELD OF DREAMS: Dodgers OF MATT KEMP has listed his mansion in the Heritage Hills neighborhood of Poway, Calif., for $7.95M. The 15,884-square-foot home was "headed for the auction block last year" before Kemp "elected not to proceed with the sale." The roughly four-acre estate includes a "tennis court, an infinity-edge swimming pool and a six-car garage." A separate pool/guesthouse "contains a gym and Roman steam spa" (LATIMES.com, 1/11). 

ENTER THE MATRIX: Former NBAer SHAWN MARION is selling his house in Dallas for $5.9M. Highlights of the home include a "wood paneled office, EPIC upstairs game room, theatre, home gym, 2 wet bars, 2 laundry rooms, downstairs guest suite, temperature controlled wine room, private indoor lounge, resort-style outdoor pool, and a 4-car garage that holds up to 8 vehicles." The home was built in '08 and sits on a 2.99-acre lot (GUIDELIVE.com, 1/8).

: TNT’s KENNY SMITH has listed his home in Encino, Calif., for $3.595M. The two-story house features "vaulted and beamed ceilings, light wood floors and skylights for a bright and airy feel." The 6,106 square feet of interior space has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms and includes an "open-plan living room." A movie theater has its "own wet bar, bathroom and balcony" (LATIMES.com, 1/10)....Former NFLer JOSELIO HANSON has bought a home in Woodland Hills neighborhood of L.A. for $2.3M. Built in '15, the contemporary house "takes in panoramic cityscape and mountain views." Approximately 5,700 square feet of "sleek living space includes four bedrooms and five bathrooms" (LATIMES.com, 1/8)....Canadiens D SHEA WEBER listed his home in Nashville for $1.85M. The 7,387-square-foot home includes "five bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half-baths." It sits on a "nearly" one-acre lot (BIZJOURNALS.com, 1/11)....Royals P IAN KENNEDY has sold his home in Scottsdale, Ariz., for $1.71M. Set on nearly an acre in a "gated equestrian community," the home includes "six bedrooms, six bathrooms" and 6,360 square feet of living space (LATIMES.com, 1/8).
