Under Armour Founder, Chair & CEO KEVIN PLANK is among 24/7 Wall St.'s "Worst CEOs in America." The website "looked at stock price changes, earnings, revenue and tenure at the company to come up with executives it said have done 'serious damage' to their companies" (Baltimore SUN, 12/29). Meanwhile, UA's stumble "after years of growth" was named as one of the Baltimore Sun's "Top Business Stories" of '17. This year "marked the end of an era" for the company (Baltimore SUN, 12/27).

HEADED TO COURT: Former NHLer ERIC NYSTROM is suing the Predators for "medical expenses that he says stem from a series of injuries he got on the ice." Nystrom played for the Predators from '13-16 and filed a complaint in Davidson County (Tenn.) Circuit Court that "specifies three separate times" he was injured while playing for the team. Nystorm in a text message after the lawsuit was filed said he was "just pursuing my rights" under the Tennessee Workers' Compensation Law (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 12/29).

NAMES: Golfer BRYSON DECHAMBEAU described playing a recent round with PRESIDENT TRUMP as “truly an honor.” DeChambeau become the latest PGA Tour pro to “tee it up” with Trump when he played Trump Int’l Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Tuesday in a foursome that also included former PGA Tour player DANA QUIGLEY and U.S. Sen. DAVID PERDUE (R-Ga.) (GOLFCHANNEL.com, 12/28)....Late NASCAR HOFer CURTIS MORTON TURNER will be “commemorated with a new historical highway marker in Virginia.” Turner’s marker is among a “dozen new highway markers authorized this month by the Virginia Board of Historic Resources” (AP, 12/29).
