Fresno State AD JIM BARTKO has resigned, "citing personal reasons." He had taken on a "difficult task in elevating an athletic department at a time its success on the football field and fan engagement was declining sharply." Deputy AD STEVE ROBERTELLO has been appointed interim AD. Robertello was co-interim AD in '14 between the time former AD THOMAS BOEH "left the program and Bartko arrived." Bartko was hired by school President JOSEPH CASTRO in November '14 after "spending almost all of his career" at the Univ. of Oregon, starting as a fundraiser and later as Exec Senior Associate AD (FRESNO BEE, 11/7)....The Univ. of Richmond named Bucknell AD JOHN HARDT to the same position. Richmond has been "without an AD since May 10, when KEITH GILL resigned." Deputy AD DAVID WALSH has been serving as AD on an "interim basis since Gill's departure." Hardt will "officially begin his duties as AD" on Jan. 1. He will be introduced Nov. 15 (RICHMOND.com, 11/6).

EXECS: Levy Restaurants' sports retail group Rank + Rally named former TaylorMade Dir of Sales for North & West Europe CATHERINE CRONIN President. She spent more than 15 years with TaylorMade (Rank + Rally)....The expansion AFL team in Albany, N.Y., named Penguins Senior Dir of Partnership Sales GEORGE MANIAS VP/Business Operations. He will run day-to-day business operations for the team (AFL)....The Univ. of Virginia named Georgia Exec Associate AD JIM BOOZ Deputy AD/Administration. Booz will begin Dec. 11 (UVA)....The L.A. Sports Council named Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Client Acquisition Exec for Global Commercial Banking TONY SCIARRINO Chair of its BOD. Sciarrino succeeds KAREN BRODKIN, who had held the role since '13 (LASC)....The Pro Football HOF named Johnson Controls Chair & CEO GEORGE OLIVER to its BOT (Pro Football HOF).
