Buyers & Sellers: John McEnroe Sells 8,000-Square-Foot Hamptons Home For $11.25M

Tennis HOFer JOHN MCENROE sold his home in the Hamptons for $11.25M. The eight-bedroom home was originally listed for $14.5M in May '16 before getting reduced in October. McEnroe purchased the property in '99 for $4.2M. The 8,000-square-foot home has "vaulted ceilings, a library, office, a gym and a sunroom." The master suite "boasts two bathrooms, a dressing room and French doors that open to a balcony" (NEWSDAY.com, 10/9).

CALIFORNIA DREAMING: Rockets G ERIC GORDON sold his home in Playa Vista, Calif., for $2.705M. He bought the property three years ago for $2.095M. The three-story house features an "open plan, dark floors and high ceilings." The 3,500-square-foot home includes a great room, a dining area, a "center-island kitchen and a third-story loft" (LATIMES.com, 10/11)....Packers LB AHMAD BROOKS placed his San Jose home on the market for $1.995M. The home includes a "swimming pool spa on about an acre of grounds." Within more than 4,000 square feet of "open-plan space are formal living and dining rooms, a center-island kitchen, a family room, five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms" (LATIMES.com, 10/6).

BUYERS & SELLERS: Tigers P ANIBAL SANCHEZ listed his home in Birmingham, Mich., for sale at $1.9M. The two-story, 5,253-square-foot home features "five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, six fireplaces, a chef's kitchen, workout room, massive wine cellar and two-car garage" (DETROITNEWS.com, 10/10)....Former NBAer MARQUES JOHNSON placed his home located in the Windsor Hills neighborhood of L.A. on the market for $1.5M. The 2,350-square-foot home has four bedrooms and a "spacious family room." Vaulted ceilings "hang over the upgraded living room, while custom windows bring light onto hardwood floors under an artsy fireplace." Outside the home a "spacious patio surrounds the resurfaced pool" (LATIMES.com, 10/10)....Sharks coach PETER DEBOER is selling his Madison, N.J., home for $1.269M. The home sits on a quarter-acre and comes with "four bedrooms and 4.5 baths" (REALTOR.com, 10/6).
