UM's Harbaugh, MSU's Dantonio To Wear Headsets With #AmazonDetroit Logo For HQ2

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh and Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio will "don headsets with the Twitter hashtag #AmazonDetroit on each earpiece" during Saturday's nationally-televised game in Ann Arbor, according to Dustin Walsh of CRAIN'S DETROIT BUSINESS. More than 100 American and Canadian cities are "vying" for Amazon's $5B second HQ. Amazon issued a RFP on Sept. 7 with a "detailed criteria for the location." Quicken Loans "signed on as a headset sponsor for the game, for an undisclosed sum, and used its space for the #AmazonDetroit logo." Fiat Chrysler's Ram brand also "donated part of its ad space on the other side of the sets for the campaign." Rock Ventures VP/Communications Whitney Eichinger said that the move is "expected to raise awareness nationally" for Detroit's bid (CRAINSDETROIT.com, 10/5).
